“If you could pick one retailer to work for, who would it be?” The most important question posed by 2016’s Retail Employer of the Year award.
The Warehouse has taken out a well-deserved fifth successive victory as Retail Employer of the Year in the large employer category. Unlike many other competitions where a panel would determine the winner, this award relied on voting from past and present employees, as well as customers and the local community to crown the winner. Who best to judge what makes a great employer than the team members and customers.
And what makes a great employer? A great employer means different things to different people. The voting system allowed each voter to note how they made their decision, based on factors such as business culture, career progression, work/life balance, leadership style and training and development.
The Warehouse lies within the wider The Warehouse Group. The Warehouse Group has made it their mission to lead the industry in promoting retail as a career of choice, they do this by setting the standard with a career retailer wage and by showcasing the variety of roles and career opportunities within the group.

“They are the best, have awesome benefits for the employees, my 18 years with them shows how great they are.”
