I love working for The Warehouse because they encourage development and growth, allowing you to be the best you can be. Everyone I have met has made a huge impact in my career and I have learned so much from them. Retail changes, whether that is through products sold, processes in place, day-to-day work or the production of innovative technology. Being a part of that change and watching that change unfold is very rewarding. You can learn from these changes and they can have an overall impact on how you work towards your goals. That is why I love working in retail.

After I had completed the programme I became Assistant Store Manager at out TeRapa store. In 2012 I moved to our Dargaville store as Store Manager and now I’m Store Manager at Snells Beach and I’m loving it.

Rachael Knapton is a Technical Specialist for Food and Grocery at The Warehouse. She has been working at The Warehouse for 18 months and is currently completing the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management degree at Massey University.
Why did you want to complete the Massey University degree? My Bachelor degree and career before I joined The Warehouse had been very manufacturing focused. The retail degree specifically focuses on the retail industry and I saw it as an opportunity to develop my knowledge and understanding of the retail industry.
